Introduction
to the Harp
A weekly group class for ages 8–11 with some music background. Small groups, hands-on learning, and a December concert performance.
The program
What students learn
A 12-week group class held on Wednesdays at 4:30 pm. Students meet in a small group (5–8 students) and build a solid harp foundation from the very first class.
Basic harp technique
Proper posture, hand position, and the foundations of lever harp playing.
Note reading
Introductory note-reading on the staff, connecting written music to the strings.
Music theory
Basic concepts — rhythm, pitch, and structure — woven into every class.
The class culminates in an ensemble performance at the 1 December Studio Concert.

Short-term rentals are available through the studio. Students must bring their harp to each class.
